What is Run Walk Talk®?
I am a certified Run Walk Talk® practitioner in Arlington, VA, a movement-based approach to therapy that combines walking outdoors in nature with talk therapy. Run Walk Talk® therapy integrates the mind–body connection and is especially supportive during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Our bodies endure so much through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. In sessions, we honor that experience by working with your body rather than separating it from your emotional world. Designed for moving forward, walking sessions use gentle forward movement to help you process your feelings, regulate your nervous system, and build forward momentum toward living your best life.
How does Run Walk Talk® Therapy work?
Walking and exercise are not the focus of sessions, movement is used as a supportive tool to enhance our work together. Sessions take place on quiet trails in Arlington, VA, with a pace that is always flexible and guided by your comfort, energy level, and needs on any given day.
Some days, you may choose a walking session outdoors; other days, a virtual session may feel like the best fit. We can adapt session formats to support you through different seasons and energy levels.
For those who are newly postpartum, walking sessions can also provide gentle support in simply getting out of the house. Babies are welcome to join, whether in a carrier or stroller, making therapy easier to access during a season when traditional appointments can feel difficult to manage.
